Job Summary
Our client is seeking to hire a qualified person for the position of a Food and Beverage Manager to effectively lead the Food and Beverage Department.
Job Description
The successful team member’s main responsibilities will be:
• Effective Leadership of the Hotel’s Food and Beverage Department which includes multiple outlets namely:Hotel Restaurant, Bar, Conference rooms, 24hour in room dining, 2 all day dining cafés, speciality cocktail bar among other.
• Drive the broader goals of the Hotel, in terms of the Food and Beverage Departments business plan in relation to all outlets mentioned above and their interaction with the hotels other operating departments
• . Facilitate Food and Beverage team development through the Quality Plan
• Ensure stock is well monitored and maintained and that costs of sales are in line
• Compilation of the hotels Food and Beverage department budget
• Be creative and implement changes in the department to create a memorable guest experience Look after high end VIP guests as well as groups
• Ensure the required Food and Beverage Division policies, procedures and administrative systems and controls are in place
• Day to day guest interaction to receive feedback and actively implement necessary action Overseeing and assisting in departmental stock takes
• Compilation of all Food and Beverage reports including departmental prelists, revenue reports as well as forecast reports
• Initiating and implementing of new concepts and ideas
• Close liaison with the kitchen to ensure that the all food quality metrics are in order.
• Involvement in the recruitment process of departmental staff
• Leading, training and motivating the team
Applicants require the following to be considered for this position:
• Diploma in Hospitality Management or similar qualification
• 6 years’ experience in a recognized International 5 star Hotel Chain, as a departmental manager Extremely guest service driven
• Ability to work accurately under pressure
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Computer Literacy including the following known hotel PMS system and MS Office
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
• Exceptionally well groomed and presentable
• Candidates who can speak an additional European language will be given preference
We are looking for a presentable lady under 36 years of age
To complement our current demographic management structure, we are looking for a lady preferably European, Asian or from the Middle East.
Position is on single status
Salary up to $3,000 net per month (if the candidate is senior enough and can act as an EAM in absence of the GM)
Live in including duty meals
30 days annual leave with a ticket to point of recruitment Local medical excluding cosmetic and dental
