The College of Business Education is looking for a qualified applicant who will be engaged as Computer Analyst/Webmaster for a period of 6 months. The primary purpose of this position is to increase and build capacity for management of the website and other communication technologies which fulfill the needs of the College.


The primary purpose of this position is to clearly define, manage and maintain the website. The Computer Analyst/Webmaster will closely work with the staff of Computer Unit to develop and maintain a website that fulfills the needs of the College.

The ultimate goal of Computer Analyst/Webmaster is to build capacity of the office of the Public Relation Officer in marketing the college through the website and social media. The Computer Analyst/Webmaster is expected to lead the functional and technical design, development, testing, integration and training of content producers and editors for ongoing support of College website.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

i) Training, organizing and supporting College staff as they create and edit web content;
ii) Selecting and implementing a CMS software solution including, but not limited to template creation, security and approval levels, WYSIWYG content editor, versioning, content scheduling etc; iii) Providing technical and user training and manuals to Computer Centre staff;
iv) Creating mechanisms to enable members of staff to create and maintain online profiles;
v) Providing technical leadership to team and department members, leading through example, mentoring/
vi) influencing others and effectively working with peers, team members, and other departments;
vii) Collecting and preparing content for the website;
viii) Performing and reviewing systems analysis, design, programming, testing, debugging, and documentation for all projects;
ix) Ensuring that all design elements, templates and finished solutions work within a variety of browser types and screen settings;
 x) Ensuring content on the College website communicates clearly, effectively, and consistently; xi) Providing technical and user training manuals to the College staff;
xii) Leading process improvement;
xiii) Providing design elements, comps, templates, and finished solutions;
xiv) Testing new contents before moving to production;
xv) Creating and maintaining metadata and other inputs in the system to optimize search engine results; xvi) Performing image manipulation tasks such as creating thumbnails, image resize, file format conversion and simple image edits;
