Sales Channel Performance Manager (Grade 13)


JOB PURPOSE
To optimize and grow the value created by sales channels through systematic performance management
and execution.

The Sales and Distribution Performance Manager manages strategic functions essential to sales and distribution channel and zones force productivity. These include planning, reporting, quota setting and channel performance management, sales productivity.
Reporting to the Head of Sales and Channels, Sales and Distribution Performance Manager also works closely with Zonal Directors, internal and external stakeholders to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities are enabled within the sales and distribution channel supported.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Sales and Distribution Performance Manager is responsible for the overall productivity and effectiveness of the assigned sales and distribution channel.

Implement robust performance management framework
• Understand the channel landscape
• Align key performance KPIs with the Zone Directors and S&D Director
• In partnership with S&D Planning, propose daily, weekly and monthly targets into the highest level of granularity
• Enhance and develop systematic and detailed tracking, feedback and action cycle to be implemented
in different layers of the S&D structure

Ensure optimized Channel Performance
• Coordinate sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes per sales channel used within the sales and distribution organization.
• Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of Performance, quality, accuracy, and process consistency per sales channel
• Supports the equitable assignment of sales force quotas and ensures quotas are optimally allocated to all sales channels and resources.
• Works to ensure all sales channel organization objectives are assigned in atimely fashion.
• Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement.
• Works closely with zonal directors to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement.
• Assists sales management in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies.
• Facilitates an organization of continuous process improvement.
• Monitors the accuracy and efficiency sales channel reports and other intelligence essential to the sales channel Performance department.
• Recommends revisions to existing reports, or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed to improve sales channel performances
• Works closely with Accounting, Finance, and Human Resources, provides assistance with sales incentive compensation administration on an as-needed basis, or when required to arbitrate or clarify the application of sales compensation program policies and procedures.
• Supports the consistent implementation of company initiatives related to Sales and Distribution initiatives and projects.
• Builds peer support and strong internal-company relationships with other key management personnel.
• Coordinates training delivery to sales channel
• Provide input to senior leadership in the development and administration of

sales channel.
• Maintain and improve commission scheme and profitability by keeping current or changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
• Completes and improve sales channel productivity per cluster as per current trend, market potential and competitive dynamic
• Supporting to improve trade marketing activities per cluster as per current trend, market priorities and competitive dynamic
• Maintains SnD channel Performance staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

People Leadership
• Coach, motivate and inspire staff working as part of SnD and commercial team to optimize performance and achieve both strategic and performance objectives.
• Create an enthusiastic and successful working environment focusing on thinking outside the box and challenging business norms.
• Implement and improve processes to ensure staff are delivering best practice and managing

performance
• Set clear expectations and hold people accountable for delivering results and outcomes.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships across all levels of the business
• Support the development and delivery of other departments with the organization
• Ensure health and safety protocols are followed in accordance with compliance policy.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• 5+ years of proven Sales and Distribution, retail and wholesales
• Experience in marketing, data analytics is highly required
• University degree in business administration, marketing or related areas.
• MBA or Master in Science is desired.
• Proficiency with the MS Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Visio
