Senior Manager; Market Research
The incumbent will be responsible to drive the business to a more customer centric perspective by providing research expertise within the business, turning qualitative/ quantitative research into actionable big picture insights and strategy for stakeholders.
As the strategic market research lead, consult widely on briefs, providing deep knowledge, experience and technical expertise and best practice advice on approach, incorporating both traditional and innovative methodologies of research.
Through the design, execution, analysis and presentation of research studies help the business better understand consumers and directly inform areas such as product/offer strategy, brand and communication strategy, convenience and loyalty offers and investment prioritization across the bank.
Working closely data and analytics experts & other stakeholders within the bank, by instrumentally delivering customer centric products & solutions, championing the voice of the consumer and driving their customer journey work using your qualitative research findings.
Advocated the design research practice by tailoring research tools, methods, deliverables, and in-field networks to best embrace the research goals, participants, and environment.
Use online market research and catalogue findings to databases
Provide competitive analysis on various companies’ market offerings, identify market trends, pricing/business models, sales and methods of operation
Evaluate program methodology and key data to ensure that data on the releases are accurate and the angle of the release is correct
Remain fully informed on market trends, other parties researches and implement best practices
Assist in developing and designing market driven products in collaboration with Innovation, Emerging technology &Fintech and Change Delivery team.
Assist in conducting market surveys for financial services to access the market information for entire banking products and services
Ensure the development of a high- performing team through embedding performance culture and informal coaching.
Excellent Communication and organizational skills (both written and spoken) in English & Swahili

A proven track record of extensive and senior qualitative market research experience

Excellent commercial / contextual understanding

Qualifications and Experience:
Holder of University Degree or equivalent qualification in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing Statistics, Math, Computer science, Social Science or Research
Over 8- 10 years of experience in Research
5 years of experience in a managerial role
Experience in digital leading projects in finance/banking industry will be an added advantage
Extensive experience with project management/change management
