Job Overview
Jhpiego, an international non-profit health organization affiliated with Johns Hopkins University, is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Administrator. Based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, the Administrator will provide day-to-day administrative, logistics, procurement, and fleet management support to regional field teams, ensuring seamless operational execution of project activities in compliance with organizational and donor standards.

Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Field Operations: Provide administrative support to regional project staff, coordinate travel itineraries, handle approvals, organize meetings, and manage official correspondence.
Logistics & Event Coordination: Plan and execute operational support for field workshops, outreach programs, supervision visits, and training sessions.
Procurement & Stores Management: Prepare purchase requisitions, track procurement requests with finance/procurement units, oversee project assets/stores, and conduct regular inventory audits.
Fleet & Transport Coordination: Supervise vehicle scheduling, fuel tracking, logbook verification, and regular vehicle maintenance schedules.
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain physical and electronic records on SharePoint, compile routine administrative summaries, and ensure compliance with Jhpiego policies and US Government regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Diploma or Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field (Degree preferred).
Work Experience: 4–5 years of relevant experience managing administrative, logistics, or operational functions within donor-funded programs.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and electronic filing/management systems (experience with eLMIS or similar inventory platforms is an advantage).
Languages: Fluency in both English and Kiswahili.
Core Competencies
Familiarity with US Government rules and administrative compliance frameworks.
Practical knowledge of fleet management, asset tracking, and inventory control protocols.
Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Willingness to travel periodically within assigned project regions.
