Duties and Responsibilities:
– Preparation and implementation of Strategic and Business plans and associated budgets.
– Ensuring delivery of Agency services to customers and to the expected standard.
– Organizing and managing all allocated Agency resources efficiently, economically, and fairly according to Government policies and Financial Regulations.
– Setting user fees for services to recover operational costs plus a development margin.
– Preparing Annual Reports and Audited Financial Statements under the Public Finance Act for ministry submission.
– Reviewing organizational management to best suit training needs.
– Mobilizing and negotiating for required resources.
– Managing the Agency efficiently considering National Policies and Legal requirements.
– Facilitating learning by teaching academic programmes in the institution.
– Reporting to the Governing Board on board decision implementations.
– Administering enforcement of By-Laws and Regulations made by the Governing Board.
– Promoting good relations with Government and other organizations.
– Working with Education Sector players to ensure successful agency operations.
Qualifications & Remuneration:
– Academic standing with credentials of at least Senior Lecturer (or eligible for re-categorization as Senior Lecturer for Higher Learning Technical/Vocational Institutions) or Principal Tutor/Instructor or above.
– Remuneration: TASUBA SCALE.
