Overview:
Identify organizational risks, evaluate internal control systems, and provide compliance oversight across procurement, inventory, subrecipient monitoring, and financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct desk reviews and spot-checks to ensure compliance with donor rules (USG), policies, and national laws.
– Review QuickBooks transactions to flag wrong charges, disallowed costs, or projection mismatches.
– Develop annual compliance work plans and perform subrecipient monitoring visits.
– Prevent and investigate fraud or gross misconduct, reporting directly to management.
– Train project staff on internal controls and anti-terrorist/disbarment compliance.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
– 7+ years of internal or external audit experience (NGO/grant experience required).
– In-depth knowledge of U.S. Government donor rules and regulations.
