Dangote Cement is recruiting a Head of Fuel Management in Mtwara. Direct procurement & logistics for CNG, Coal, and Alternative Fuels (AF).

Job Purpose

The Fuel Manager is responsible for strategic procurement, logistics, quality assurance, and 100% availability of all fuel types — including CNG, Coal, and Alternative Fuels — required for continuous cement plant operations in Mtwara.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fuel procurement strategies covering CNG, Coal, and Alternative Fuels (AF)
• Manage CNG supply contracts, pipeline logistics, regasification, and EWURA regulatory approvals
• Drive Thermal Substitution Rate (TSR) improvement plans by expanding AF / biomass co-processing
• Oversee coal sourcing, quality testing (calorific value, moisture, ash), and blend optimization
• Coordinate with NEMC, EWURA, TRA, and local authorities for permits and compliance

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
• Minimum 10-15 years’ fuel management / energy supply chain experience in heavy industry
• At least 5 years in a senior managerial role
