Job Overview
SBC Tanzania Limited (PEPSI Tanzania), a leading beverage company engaged in the manufacturing, distribution, and sales of PepsiCo brands across Tanzania, is seeking an experienced Yard & Stores Manager to join its supply chain and operations team at the Mwanza Plant. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Yard & Stores Manager will oversee daily yard and warehouse logistics, direct stock control and reconciliations, manage inventory budgets, lead staff development, and enforce strict safety and statutory compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
Yard & Stores Operations: Plan and execute shift manpower schedules, optimize yard and warehouse storage space, and manage daily forklift deployment for efficient material handling.
Stock Control & Budget Management: Conduct routine stock verification and physical reconciliations, report inventory variances, and manage the annual operational budget for the stores department.
Team Leadership & Development: Support staff recruitment, set operational priorities, oversee shift training, and drive continuous performance management across the warehouse and yard teams.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company policies, ensuring accurate and prompt incident reporting.
Qualifications & Professional Registration
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Stores Management, Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
Professional Registration: Must be fully registered with the National Board for Materials Management (NBMM) in the category of Approved Supplies Officer and hold a Certified Procurement and Supply Professional (CSP) qualification.
Work Experience: Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in yard, warehouse, or store management responsibilities, preferably within the FMCG or manufacturing sector.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Timely loading and offloading of fleet and delivery vehicles.
High level of accuracy in documentation, stock records, and inventory reports.
Clean, organized, and safe yard and warehouse facilities.
Effective team leadership and disciplined budget management under a “No Noise, Just Execution” approach.
