In general, EU students should have the same rights when they move to another EU country as they do when they stay in their home country. The European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) allows them to receive the same level of medical care as they would receive in their home country if they were to apply for it.
Non-EU/EEA students face additional challenges, as they must typically pay higher tuition fees and obtain private medical insurance coverage.
Europe-based students EU citizens are automatically entitled to study in other EU member states, and they should not be required to pay higher tuition fees and should be able to apply for a residence permit in the host country (in order to obtain financial support as any other national student).
