C-Weed Mwani is hiring a Crop Science & Biostimulant Field Officer in Tanzania. Conduct field bioefficacy trials, agronomy R&D, and biostimulant development.
Purpose of the Position
To support C-Weed Mwani’s development and validation of seaweed-based agricultural biostimulants through scientifically designed plant, soil and field trials.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement laboratory, greenhouse, nursery and field bioassays for biostimulant products
- Evaluate the effects of biostimulants on plant growth, root development, shoot growth, and crop yield
- Conduct comparative trials against untreated controls and commercial reference products
- Collect accurate experimental data, maintain logs, and prepare technical R&D reports
- Support field demonstrations and farmer trials
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Crop Science, Agronomy, Plant Science, Horticulture, or Soil Science
- Practical understanding of plant physiology, soil-plant interactions, and experimental trial design
- Statistical analysis and data collection competencies
